Swift heavy Ion Irradiation Effects on Structural and Spectroscopic Properties of Nanocomposites of Polypyrrole Nanotubes and Silver Nanoparticles
Abstract: Polypyrrole nanotubes-silver nanoparticle nanocomposites (PPy-NTs:Ag-NPs) have been synthesized by in-situ reduction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) to suppress the agglomeration of Ag-NPs. The synthesized nanocomposite has been irradiated with 100 MeV Si9+ ion beam. The structural and spectroscopic properties of the nanocomposites after irradiation have been studied by SEM, XRD, Raman and UV-vis spectroscopy. Decrease in size of the nanotubes has been observed from SEM micrographs due to swift heavy ion …

Laser Induced Damage Threshold of Pure and Doped TiO2 Thin Films
Abstract: In the present study, TiO2 and Ag-doped TiO2 thin films have been synthesized by sol-gel dip coating technique at a constant rate of 40 cm/s and annealed at a temperature of 400o c to obtain uniform film with good adhesion onto the substrate. Films have been characterized by XRD and UV-Vis spectroscopy that shows the structure of TiO2 films and decrease in band gap with doping of silver in TiO2. …

Ternary Logic Design Approach - From CMOS to CNTFET
Abstract: The goal of this review is to offer a broad study on the ternary logic designs based on CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) and CNTFET (carbon nanotube field effect transistor) suitable for energy efficient and high-performance VLSI design. Performance investigation of the ternary logic-based designs will be the primary emphasis as the ternary logic is a good substitute for the conventional binary logic among all the multiple-valued logics because it permits simple …

Characterization of Pure and Ag Doped ZnO Nanostructure and Study the Effect of Calcination Temperature on Bacterial Growth of Ag Doped ZnO Nanostructure.
Abstract: Sol-Gel chemical precipitation method has been implemented to synthesize Ag doped ZnO nanoparticles at 50°C. Wurtzite hexagonal crystal structure of pure and ZnO(Ag) nanoparticles have been confirmed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) data. The crystalline size and have been estimated using XRD data. The chemical composition of pure and Ag doped ZnO nanoparticles has been investigated by analysis of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The direct band gap of nanoparticles has …

Structural and Elasticity Study of ZnS and ZnO Nanotubes Synthesized by Density Functional Method
Abstract: A theoretical investigation on the structural and elastic property of single-walled ZnS nanotubes (SW-ZnS NTs) (with armchair and zigzag structures) and ZnO nanotubes were investigated. The stability and elastic modulus in SW-ZnS NTs and ZnO NTs were also investigated. A study was also carried out to determine the band gap energy of the nanocrystalline ZnS and ZnO. The calculation results show bond length, bond angle, strain energy, and Young’s modulus …

Green Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Moringa Oleifera leaf extract: Investigation of Photocatalytic activity
Abstract: In the present study, cost effective and environment friendly silver nanoparticles were synthesized using Moringa Oleifera leaves extract as the reducing and capping agent. The nanoparticles (AgNPs) were characterized using UV-visble, FT-IR, XRD, and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The surface plasmon resonance peaks in absorption spectra for silver colloidal solution showed an absorption peak at 443 nm in a UV-visible spectrum. From the XRD data, we suggest the occurrence …

Theoretical Studies of Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes for Synthesis and Growth Mechanism
Abstract: The term ‘controlled production’ of single-wall nanotubes SWNT implies the ability to control the selectivity towards SWNT by changing catalyst formulations and operating conditions, combined with a quantitative measurement of the SWNT obtained. In this contribution, a significant advancement towards the controlled production of SWNT is reported. A family of Fe-Ru catalysts has been found to be able to produce SWNT with high selectivity, depending on the -Ru ratio, the …
