Drain Characteristics of GaN based Single-Heterojunction HEMTs with Variations in Gate Length and in Thickness of AlGaN Nano-Layer
Abstract: We have studied the drain characteristics in single-heterojunction AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) using the SILVACO-ATLAS software tool. The drain characteristics are studied with respect to five types of simulated structures. In each type of structures, the gate length and thickness of AlGaN nano-layer are different with respect to other types. Effects of drain voltage and gate voltage on drain current are studied by the simulated structures. Also, the …

Hydrothermal synthesis of ZnS for efficient photodegradation of Malachite green
Abstract: In this work, ZnS nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method. Various characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visible optical spectroscopy and FT-IR spectra were used to study the structural, composition and optical properties of synthesized nanoparticles. The XRD pattern showed that the prepared ZnS nanoparticles have a cubic zinc blende structure. The band gap is calculated from absorption spectra with the help of Taucplot and is found to be …

Modified Solution Combustion Approach for Probing of Structural and Dielectric Properties of Sm3+ Doped GdAlO3 Nanoparticles
Abstract: A modified solution combustion approach was used in the preparation of nanosized Gd1xSmxAlO3 (x=1, 3, 5, 7, 9 mol%) using mixture of ODH and novel fuel E. tirucalli plant latex as fuels with corresponding metal nitrates. The structural morphology of synthesized and calcined powders are revealed using various analytical techniques such as Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and …

Short Review on Microfluidic Lab-on-a-Chip Systems for Future Applications in Space Technology
Abstract: The brief description on laboratory-on-a-chip systems for microfluidic applications is provided in this short review. The fabrication of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) based microfluidic device is briefly described by providing recorded snap-shot images of surface-driven capillary flow in PMMA microchannel bend. Microfluidic lab-on-a-chip systems are already useful in bioengineering and materials-science. A brief attempt has been made to establish the probable applications of microfluidic lab-on-a-chip systems in space technology. Concept theory is …

Tuning the physical properties of spray pyrolysed nanocrystalline CdO thin films by varying the substrate temperature
Abstract: Spray pyrolysis technique has been employed to deposit cadmium oxide (CdO) thin films on glass substrates preheated to different temperatures (250, 350, 400 and 500°C). Structural, morphological, optical and electrical characterization studies were performed on the films to study the behavior of the films. The thicknesses of the films prepared at different substrate temperatures vary from 497 to 465 nm. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the films are polycrystalline exhibiting …
