A Review on Quad Band Microstrip Antenna for GSM and GNSS Application
Abstract: Micropstrip or patch antennas are also known as a printed antenna fabricated on printed circuit board (PCB). Microstrip antennas are low cost, have a low profile, low weight and are easily fabricated [1]. They are used atmicrowave frequencies. In this review paper, a survey on quad band operations in patch antenna papers, which have been used by authors for designing of low profile, small compatible patch antenna, have been presented. …

An Extended Semi-circular Microstrip Patch Antenna with DGS for UWB Applications
Abstract: This paper presents the design of a semicircular patch with an extended length for UWB applications. The proposed antenna is fabricated on FR4 substrate with relative permittivity of =4.4 and dimensions of 29.5x38x1.57 . The feed used in proposed design is 50 Ω microstrip feed line. The partial ground structure with a T-shaped slot and dual right angled isosceles triangular notches of side 3 mm each has been introduced to …

Design of a Fractal Aperture Coupled Microstrip Antenna for UWB Applications
Abstract: Ultra wide band frequency allocation of 5.3–9.2 GHz spectrum by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) presented myriad applications of exciting opportunities and challenges for design in the communication arena, including antenna design. The compact antenna designs with operating bandwidths of more than 100% are a challenging demand for the current wireless scenario. This can be easily met with fractal boundaries by using wide slot antennas. In this paper, fractal slot antenna …

Design and Performance Analysis of a Log Periodic Dipole Antenna with a Frequency Range of 1350 to 2690 MHz
Abstract: The introduction of broadband systems to communication and non-communication technologies has demanded the design of broadband antennas. RF antennas have relatively small bandwidth and poor directivity while the log periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) provides better directivity and gain with wide bandwidth. For a communication link and data transmission at higher rates, wider bandwidth is required with high gain and directivity. This necessitates designing a wideband antenna. In this paper, a …
