Analysis of Performance Enhancement in a Bubble Driven Inertial Micropump
Abstract: A nozzle-diffuser pair is incorporated into a conventional micro-bubble based micropump system and its implications on the performance is evaluated. The proposed model induces flow rectification due to the additional net pressure head acting on account of the nozzle-diffuser pair provided at the ends of the micro channel. An analytical model is used to study the effect of nozzle-diffuser pair on the pump performance and plots of bubble interfacial position …

Solidification of Brass Casting in Green Sand Mould: A Numerical and Experimental Study
Abstract: Casting which is also known as founding, is one of the earliest metal shaping methods. It means the pouring of molten metal into the refractory mould then allowing it to solidify. After solidification removing of part from the mould either by breaking the mould or ejecting the mould part. Present study has been focused on solidification of brass in green sand mould formulation. Two-dimensional heat conduction equation in cartesian co-ordinate …

Comparison Between Theoretical, Analytical and Experimental Vibration Analysis Method and Different Circular Tile Cutter by Using FFT and ANSYS
Abstract: Circular cutters with uniform radial cracks are extensively used in the cutting processes. Unwanted noise, vibration and accidental failure associated with the cutting process have become an important economic and technological problem in the industry. The knowledge of natural frequencies of components is of great interest in the study of response of structures to various excitations. Hence, it is important to study a circular tile cutter with central hole, which …

Experimental Investigation of Flexural Strength and Impact Strength of Friction Stir Welded Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE)
Abstract: Friction stir welding (FSW) is a solid-state process in joining thermoplastic materials. Polymers are engineering materials used for future technological development as the polymer processing and fabrication techniques have developed plastic products and components in major industries. Utilization of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) material in engineering structures has increased because of its low weight, high specific strength, chemical resistance, design flexibility, corrosion resistance and reduced manufacturing costs. In present …
