Abstract

The last few decades witnessed rapid rise in usage of polymers because of their growing demands in different industries. Mostly, non-biodegradable polymers form the larger proportion and there persistent usage leads to accumulation of hazardous chemicals in the environment. Therefore, to meet the demands, biodegradable polymers, polymers need to induced, designed and further modified to reduce generation of harmful byproducts. As synthetic polymers are durable than the natural polymers emerging technique of "blending" different biodegradable polymers is solving the problem. Present article is focused on creating polymer blends with different properties and summary of all related research work done by researcher on polymer composites using various vinyl polymers including PVA, PVP, HDPE PEG etc. This review aims to present the status of research progress on degradation of various vinyl- polymer blends with biological & photolytic degradation
