Abstract

The use of solar energy is growing in importance globally, but particularly in India. Since there aren't manysolar plants operating in India right now, there isn't any historical data. It is crucial to investigate how wellsolar power plants operate. Acquiring knowledge about solar power plant performance will lead to wiseinvestment choices. In this work, we address the different aspects that affect solar power plant performance, including age-related deterioration, inverter efficiency, design, temperature, and other environmentalcircumstances. This study presents a performance parameter review of a grid-connected photovoltaicsystem. Examined include the performance ratio and the numerous power losses (such as those caused bysolar radiation, various types of module losses, temperature, soiling of modules, AC and DC losses, cable, and wiring loss, etc.). Additionally, the plant's performance was evaluated with respect to various plantoperating losses, such as generation loss resulting from grid unavailability and inverter malfunctions.
