Molecular Docking Studies of Moringa concanensis Nimmo Leaf Phytocompounds for Brain CancerBy V. Balamurugan, V. Balakrishnan
Abstract: Phytochemicals are the secondary metabolites of medicinal plants and are considerably used in traditional cancer research. Computational methods involving virtual screening, shape and pharmacophore analysis and molecular docking have been used to select chemicals that target a particular protein or enzyme and to determine potential protein targets for well characterized as well as for novel phytocompounds. Objective of the present study is, in silico approach to identifying the anticancer activity …

Evaluation of Biomedical Importance of Papaya PulpBy V. Balamurugan, J. Ramamoorthy, A. Sabaridasan
Abstract: The present study describes the preparation of petroleum ether, ethyl acetate, and methanol extract from Carica papaya; further the extracts revealed dose dependent anti-oxidant potential. Among the extracts, ethyl acetate extract showed more percentage of scavenging than other two extracts. The screening of antimicrobial activity for three extracts revealed antimicrobial potency towards 12 test organisms. Among these extracts, petroleum ether shows more activity against 12 microbes compared with other two …
