Green chemistry approach for synthesis of environmentally sustainable advanced polymeric nanoparticlesBy Mansi Tiwari, Susarla Venkata Ananta Rama Sastry, Sandeep Kumar
Abstract: The distinctive properties of the Advanced Polymeric nanoparticles (PNPs) have gained substantial attention in several arenas. However, conventional nanoparticle synthesis methods often involve the use of hazardous solvents and energy-intensive processes, which can contribute to environmental concerns. To address these challenges, progressive techniques have emerged, aiming to prepare advanced polymeric nanoparticles in an environmentally sustainable manner for green chemistry applications. Each technique is analyzed in terms of its potential to …

Optimization of Drilling Parameters on Hemp-Pineapple Hybrid Natural Fiber CompositesBy I. Sudhakara, Veeraiah G, S. Atchyut Rao, Susarla Venkata Ananta Rama Sastry
Abstract: Composites are tailor made heterogeneous materials to meet desired mechanical properties for intended applications. Among all the composites, fiber reinforced composites gained wide attention because of ease in synthesis and light weight. Issues such as delamination and surface finish during drilling of composites offers challenges. The present investigation uses design of experimentation method for setting processing parameters such as drill diameter, feed, rotation speed for evaluation of minimum surface roughness …

Synthesis and formability of Al/(Fe-Mn) particulate compositeusing stir castingBy I. Sudhakar, Susarla Venkata Ananta Rama Sastry, V.S.N. Venkata Ramana
Abstract: Demand for lightweight and fuel economy by automotive and aircraft industries focuses to explore different materials. Alloys and composites developed with same objective to obtain superior desired mechanical properties compatible for such intended applications. However, alloy consider as solid solutions with metallic properties and cannot mix with primary major element in random proportions. This forced researcher community to develop composites, which are heterogeneous solid solutions or multi-phase materials comprising matrix …

Predicting Rate Equation for the Synthesis of Octadec-9-Enoic Acid Methyl Esters by the Methanolysis of Pongamia Pinnata Triglycerides Using Sono ReactorBy Susarla Venkata Ananta Rama Sastry
Abstract: In the present work, octadec-9-enoic acid methyl esters are synthesized from pongamia pinnata oil using methanolysis in sono reactor. The rate equation is predicted for the methanolysis reaction. The produced methyl esters from pongamia pinnata oil confirmed to ASTM D6751 standards. Fourier Transform Infrared Analysis and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry were used to characterise the methyl esters. The rate is dependent greatly on methanol concentration, and then on catalyst concentration …

Chemical and Electrocoagulation for Chromium (VI) Removal from Galvanic EffluentsBy Susarla Venkata Ananta Rama Sastry
Abstract: Industrial effluents usually contain 10 to 500 mg/l Cr(VI); that according to internationalenvironmental rules must be set at permissible levels before being discharged into the environment. The upper permitted levels of chromium are 0.5 mg/l for effluent discharge and 0.01 mg/l for drinkingwater respectively. Hexavalent chromium is a very toxic heavy metal moiety occurring in variousindustrial wastewaters, such as electroplating, anodizing, tanning and dyeing effluents. Industrialeffluents may contain hundreds of mg/l …
