  Abstract: A back-to-back modular multilevel converter (BMMC) based plug-in hybrid electric vehicle power conversion system is proposed to solve the problems of traditional MMC-EV. The local AC harmonics generated by the operation of MMC-EV accelerate the battery degradation and reduce the battery life.
