Abstract: The present study was aimed at formulation development of a sustained release otic in situ gel of lomefloxacin hydrochloride for the treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media. Poloxamer 407 was used as the thermoreversible gelling agent. Poloxamer concentration in the range of 15–20% w/v was tried.
