Investigation of Sulphate, Alkali and Carbonation Chemical attack in GGBS-Based Geopolymer Concrete and OPC ConcreteBy Akshay Dhawan, Manvendra Verma
Abstract: This study presents a comparative evaluation of the durability of GGBFS-based Geopolymer Concrete (GPC) and OPC concrete in rapid carbonation, sulphate, and alkali environments. All samples were subjected to three severe conditions are carbonation at 4% CO₂, 25°C and 60% relative humidity, exposure to a 10% sodium sulphate (Na₂SO₄) solution, and immersion in a 10% sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution for alkali resistance. The durability characteristics were evaluated by the compressive …

Durability Assessment of Geopolymer and OPC Concretes under Chloride and Sulphate Chemical AttackBy Akshay Dhawan, Manvendra Verma
Abstract: The main problems with durable concrete constructions are attacks by sulphates and chlorides on concrete. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate how the strength properties of concrete are affected by the incorporation of fly ash when exposed to environmental conditions involving sulphate and chloride solutions. In this research, geopolymer concrete (GPC) is utilized as a replacement for conventional ordinary Portland cement (OPC). The concrete composition is prepared …

Quantification and Forecasting of Plastic waste in Gorakhpur city, IndiaBy Saurabh Kumar, Sneha Gupta, Praveen Kumar Gupta, Manvendra Verma
Abstract: Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental threats faced by human society, especially in cities like Gorakhpur, which have minimal resources for waste management but a very high amount of waste that keeps on increasing day by day. The purpose of this research is to determine the total amount of plastic waste (PW) generated in Gorakhpur city and forecast plastic waste generation. The snowball sampling method was used for …

Comparative Analysis of using Rubber isolator and Friction isolator in G+8 Building by SAP 2000By Anshul Agrawal, Manvendra Verma, Ajay Kumar
Abstract: Base isolation technique has become most popular that improves resistant quality during a seismic earthquake. These bases seclude moves under high pressure and they soak up an earth tremor smash by minimizing oscillating and trembling of ground. Adaptive base solitude system includes the separation system is Lead Rubber Bearing, Friction Isolators, channel Method, Laminated Rubber Bearing. Base separation is the broadly accepted seismic protected skeleton employed in any edifice in …

Aerodynamic Influences on Structures with Varied Plan ConfigurationsBy Rahul Kumar Meena, Abhishek Prakash Paswan, Prateek Roshan, Manvendra Verma
Abstract: The wind-induced effects on tall buildings demonstrate a level of unpredictability, attributed to the intricate influence of the building's plan shape on the distribution of wind loads. The oscillations experienced by tall structures, both longitudinally and laterally, are influenced by factors such as wind direction, building configuration, height, and structural characteristics. This investigation is centred around examining the impact of wind on tall buildings featuring diverse plan cross-sectional shapes. The …
