  Abstract: Objective: In the present study, efforts were taken to develop rapimelts of promethazine HCl—an antiemetic agent with an objective to achieve rapid disintegration, and further improve thebioavailability of drug.Methods:Rapimelts were prepared by direct compression methodusing superdisintegrants such as crospovidone (cp), croscarmellose sodium (ccs), sodiumstarch glycolate (ssg).
