  Abstract: The current paper examines how natural and synthetic polymer-based disintegrants can be used to design fast-soluble types of tablet composites. A model drug was chosen and tablets were prepared by the direct compression method using different polymeric excipients, such as guar gum, locust bean gum, sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and cross povidone.
