  Abstract: This research focuses on using chemical simulation methods to determine the Total Fungi available in a water environment. The water type investigated was the fresh and salt water environment. Total Heterotrophic Fungi (THF) were Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, mucor sp, penicillium sp, Aspergillus sp, lomentospora sp, Fusarium sp, collecttrichum sp, cladosporium sp, Trichoderma sp and Rhizopus sp for both fresh water and salt water environment.
