Experimental Investigation of Plastic mix Concrete for Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC)

Abstract: ABSTRACT: This project is particularly dealt with the possibility and analysis of using waste Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) in M40 grade of concrete (from IRC 44) as a partial replacement of fine aggregate with varying percentage of 0%, 2.5%, 7.5%, 12.5%. Various tests performed on cement-like specific gravity, fineness, setting time, standard consistency, etc. on coarse aggregate such as sieve analysis, fineness modulus, specific gravity, etc. On fresh concrete-like slump cone …

Effects of Carbon Fiber on Strength of Concrete

Abstract: Experimental investigations were carried out to evaluate the effect of carbon fibers on strength of concrete. The concrete mix of M-25 grade was considered and produced by replacing carbon fibers with cement. Modified concrete is produced by adding carbon fibers with various percentages as 0 to 0.6% at an interval of 0.2% with 10 and 20 mm in length. The compressive and flexural strengths are considered for investigations. Cube of …

Effect of Polymer Modified Fibers on Strength of Concrete

Abstract: AbstractThe results of an experimental investigation to study the effects of hooked steel fibers with varying dosage and polymer latex with fixed dosage in concrete are studied. In this experimental study, varying volume fraction of hooked steel fibers from 0% to 7% by weight of cement at the interval of 1% of fiber and SBR latex polymer of fixed volume of 15% by weight of cement were used. All specimens …
