Inclusion of Gallium Oxide with Silver Oxide of Tunable Optical Properties for their Unusual Catalytic PerformancesBy D. Nathiya, N.M.I. Alhaji, A. Ayeshamariam
Abstract: AgGaO2 nanocomposites were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. The crystal was assessed using Scherer equation for the as-prepared nanoparticles and annealed samples of AgGaO2 at 40 and 55 nm, respectively. Silver and gallium nitrates were reacted in an alkaline medium using NaBH4, which was used to reduce particle size. The presence of relatively homogeneous nanocomposites was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. Morphological studies were analyzed by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. Vibration …

Studies on synthesis and characterization of Silver nanoparticles from Cassia Auriculata and their effect on biological applications – A ReviewBy M. Prem Nawaz, S. Raja Mohamed, M. Palanivelu, K. Mohamed Rafi, A. Ayeshamariam
Abstract: Plants are able to synthesize a broad range of different chemical compounds called secondary metabolites and these are easily degradable. Many of them provide new sources of natural compounds. Majority of world population in developing countries relay on herbal medicines. Currently 80% of the world population depends on plants derived medicine for the first line to primary health care because it has no side effects. In the present study, review …

Morphological Studies of ZrO2 Prepared by Thermal Evaporation TechniqueBy A. Mohamed Saleem, V. Fairose, M.T. Sadad Abdussamad, R. Abinaya, S. Kathoon Sanofer, B. Madhumitha, A. Ayeshamariam, M. Jayachandran
Abstract: Zirconium is the rare earth element used as superconductive element at low temperatures. It is extensively used for the chemical industry to protect corrosion alkalis and seawater. It is naturally acting as an insulator; it is very much helpful to the optoelectronic devices when it is used as oxides. ZrO2 is synthesized by using combustion synthesis, the as-prepared samples were pelletized, and this pellet was used in the thermal evaporation …

Synthesis and Characterization of CeO2-ZrO2 NanocompositesBy S. A Fowziya, A.M. Uduman Mohideen, A. Afroos Banu, A. Ayeshamariam, A.R. Mohamed Jahangir, A. Mohamed Saleem, M. Jayachandran
Abstract: CeO2-ZrO2 nanocomposites were prepared by hydrothermal method and characterized by using XRD (X-ray diffractometer) to study the structural analysis of the prepared nanocomposites. The as-prepared samples were further annealed at 150º C and 300º C. From the structural studies crystal size and lattice parameter was calculated. FTIR analysis confirms the results of vibrational spectra and XPS, EDAX analysis confirms the elements presents in the composites. Effect of annealing in frequency …

Dielectric Studies of ZrO2 Semiconducting Oxide Materials and its CharacterizationBy S. A Fowziya, A. M. Uduman Mohideen, A. Mohamed Saleem, M.T. Sadad Abdussamad, V. Fairose, N. Anuradha, A. Ayeshamariam
Abstract: Zirconium oxide powder was prepared by using the combustion method. Solution combustion synthesis was adopted to prepare the powder, urea and glycine act as fuels. The crystal size values were calculated its nearly equal to 74 nm. Naturally, bulk zirconium is the insulator, the reduction of size in nano will behave as a conductor, and its electrical and dielectric properties were reported here. The electric modulus M* is defined in …
