Abstract

: Recent statistics indicates about 85 per cent of overall fatalities is caused by humans due to insufficient resources resulting in overworked and inexperienced workers. The deaths of civilians and machinery due to a lack of automation could have severe consequences for the economy of the country. Certain considerations were intercommunication between trains and introduction of passenger safety reporting in emergencies at grass roots level. We suggest eliminating such challenges while using Simulation to optimize train services and solve optimization problems by adding bidirectional communication devices such that trains could communicate with one another in the same proximity as well as maintain the information and eventually send SOS messages informing train and the status of consented passengers to the appropriate authority SUVIDHA. In such a way a small system can remove supervisors, consolidate on a technical platform the internal-external processes of the Commuter rail-Rail operations, and prevent accidents while improving efficiency and minimizing financial losses and fatalities. Keywords: Emergency, optimise, platform, SUVIDHA, commuter rail-rail operations, safetyCite this ArticleKishan Das Menon H, AdityaKhatokar J, Ajay Sudhir Bale.Enhanced Railway Operations Using Automated Locomotive Simulator.Trends in Transport Engineering and Applications.2020; 7(1): 17–23p.
