Synthesis and Characterization of Terbium Doped Strontium Aluminate Nanophosphor
Abstract: Luminescence investigations of Tb activated strontium aluminate phosphors prepared using the sol-gel method are described. The phosphor has been characterized by powder X-ray diffraction scanning electron microscope. Optical properties were studied by photoluminescence spectra. Photoluminescence studies of the prepared phosphors showed prominent IR emission, apart from near-band edge emission and green emission. Effect of Sintering Temperature on Dielectric Behavior of Y0.95Ca0.05MnO3 Manganites
Abstract: Ca-doped mixed valent Y0.95Ca0.05MnO3 (YCMO) manganites, synthesized using cost effective acetic acid based modified sol-gel method, sintered at various temperatures, exhibit a strong effect of sintering temperature on the structure, microstructure, dielectric and activation energy (Ea). Oxygen vacancies, located at the grain boundaries of the nanostructured YCMO samples, play an important role in governing the dielectric behavior. The peak behavior, observed in imaginary part of dielectric (εʹʹ vs. T) plots, …

Nanostructured TiO2 Prepared Through Sol–Gel Method Enhances the Activity of Antibiotics against Gram Positive Bacteria
Abstract: The synthesis and bioactivity of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles has been extensively studied. However, the antibacterial activity of TiO2 individually or in combination with different antibiotics has not been demonstrated. TiO2 was prepared by sol–gel process using precursor Titanium (IV) Chloride (TiCl4) and concentrated sulfuric acid in 4 h of calcinations at 550 °C and the enhancement effect of TiO2 nanoparticle on the antibacterial activity of different antibiotics was evaluated …
