Abstract: Mapping heterogeneous urban environments using conventional Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) backscatter intensity frequently produces classification errors due to spectral similarity between sparse built-up features, bare soil, and dry vegetation a challenge especially acute in semi-arid Deccan Plateau settings.
