  Abstract: The present study was undertaken to screen the common respiratory pathogens like avian mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae) causing respiratory infections in poultry, identification, molecular detection and differentiation of these pathogens from suspected birds and an attempt to develop suitable diagnostic tools for screening of common avian mycoplasmas (MG and MS).
