Novel Design of Broad Band Microstrip Antenna for WiMAX/WLAN/UMTS Applications
Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to obtain a large bandwidth with a low-cost and compact-sized antenna. Here a rectangular patch fed with linefeed technique is designed. Wide bandwidth is obtained covering the range from 0.99–2.68 GHz. The designed line-fed patch antenna can operate in the WiMAX (2.2–3.4 GHz), WLAN (2.40–2.48 GHz) and UMTS II (2.50–2.69 GHz) frequency bands giving a maximum bandwidth of 90.18%.
