Abstract: In Ayurveda, the term Sutika (Puerperal Woman) can be used only after expulsion of placenta. After delivery, woman becomes weak and also empty bodied due to unsteadiness or indolence of Dhatus, labour pains and excretion of Kleda (moisture) and blood.
