Subcutaneous Infection Caused by Paecilomyces variotii in an Immunocompromised Patient with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia – A Case Study
Abstract: Paecilomyces can cause hyalohyphomycosis, a type of fungal infection in which the basic tissue form of fungus is hyaline and any pigment in the cell wall is not present. Generally Paecilomyces infects immunocompromised patients, though it infects immunocompetent host also, commonly with eye implants and surgery.
