Experimental Investigation of Heat Transfer Enhancement Using Cross Inserts Having Different Pitch Rectangular Cuts
Abstract: This work presents experimental investigation of heat transfer enhancement using strip insert with cross configuration having rectangular cut. The heat transfer enhancement study in a circular copper tube of 10 mm internal diameter is carried out using three different inserts. The three inserts are of cross configuration with rectangular cuts of different pitches. The heat transfer enhancement in hydro-dynamically developed and thermally developing fluid region is studied.
