High-Performance Carbon Nanotube-Reinforced Biodegradable Polymer Composites for Packaging
Abstract: The growing issues concerning the properties of petroleum-based plastics on the environment increased the demand for biodegradable alternatives and polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the most promising options available. However, its poor toughness, thermal resistance, and barrier properties limit broader applications in sustainable packaging. This study reports the fabrication and characterization of PLA-based nanocomposites reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) at varying loadings (0.1-2 wt.%). Structural analysis (FTIR, XRD) confirmed …

Nano Shield-EV: Graphene and CNT-Infused Polymer Composites for Advanced EMI Shielding in Electric Vehicles
Abstract: The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) has intensified the need for lightweight, thermally stable, and mechanically robust electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials to ensure the reliable performance of advanced electronic systems. Traditional metallic shields, though highly effective, increase vehicle weight and restrict design flexibility, thereby motivating the search for multifunctional polymer-based alternatives. In this study, NanoShield-EV introduces novel polymer nanocomposites fabricated via melt blending and compression molding, combining engineering-grade …

Development of Self-Healing Circuit Boards Using Shape Memory Polymer Composites
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of temperature, humidity, and nanofiller type on the electrical and structural performance of advanced polymer nanocomposites for self-healing circuit applications. Particular attention was given to conductivity retention and the morphological behavior of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene, and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). Results show that conductivity decreased under elevated thermal–humidity conditions, reflecting the role of environmental stress in material degradation. Among the tested systems, AgNP-based composites achieved …

Design and Characterization of High-Performance Polymer Nanocomposites for Aerospace Applications
Abstract: Polymer nanocomposites have revolutionized aerospace materials through mechanical strength, thermal stability, and lightness. A number of polymer matrices filled with nanofillers such as carbon nanotubes, graphene, and nanoclay considerably improved structural integrity, flame resistance, and environmental adaptability. However, fabrication techniques are still being optimized so that nanofillers are properly dispersed throughout, which may create contradictions between mechanical strength and process ability. This work tries to design and characterize high- performance …

Exploring Carbon Nanotubes in Nanotechnology: Functional Properties, Surface Modifications, and Biomedical Innovations
Abstract: Significant progress has been made in nanotechnology in recent years, especially in the creation of sensors with a broad range of uses. Among these, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are cylindrical structures composed of carbon, with diameters in the nanometer range. CNTs originate from graphite sheets, where the graphite layers resemble a rolled-up, continuous, and robust hexagonal mesh. These hexagons have carbon atoms at their vertices. The fabrication of CNTs typically involves …
