Concept of Asthyagni w.s.r. to Osteoporosis
Abstract: Asthidhatu is the fifth dhatu which does the function of Shareeradharana. It is formed by the saarabhaaga of the medadhatu and by the action of upachayakaraka asthidhatwagni on the asthiposhakansha present in the aahara rasa.
