Gas chromatography mass spectrometry and Fourier transform infrared spectral analyses of Albizia lebbeck (L.) Benth. pod methanol extract
Abstract: This study was aimed at the elucidation of the bioactive compounds present in methanol extracts of Albizia lebbeck (L.) Benth. Pod using Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) techniques. The GC-MS mass spectra of the identified compounds were compared with those of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) database library. The results confirmed the presence of five compounds including Pentasiloxane, 1,1,3,3,5,5,7,7,9,9-decamethyl-, Heptasiloxane, hexadecamethyl-, Methyl …
