Abstract

In our today’s busy world transportation plays a major role for everyone to travel from one placeto another. Mostly 90% of people will use either a car or bike for the mode of transportation. Soto make the driving very much easier for them and to reduce the work effort we have concluded aproject. So our project is mainly focused on eliminating the work action like accelerating, braking and also applying the clutch and even gear changing, which will be very useful forphysically challenged people. So they can control all this work action by using a joystick, anarduino is connected to the joystick as well as linear actuator motor or a servo motor by makinguse of this the entire work process is reduced. When the joystick is moved forward to the positivey axis the acceleration will be increased by the motor connected at the end of each pedal, Andwhen the joystick is moved backward the acceleration will be gradually reduced and when itcomes to the negative y-axis the brake will be applied gradually. So the joystick which will beproportional to the motors and when comes for changing gears the same joystick is used, whenthe joystick reaches the forward maximum end and holded for a certain time the clutch will beengaged and the gears will be increased and the acceleration will also be increased for next gearwhich is programed at the arduino and when the joystick is lowered to negative y axis the gearswill be reduced depending upon the speed or else we can use a separate joystick for changinggears which can be moved in the left and right direction. When the joystick is moved towards theleft clutch will be applied and gears will be increased and while the joystick is moved towardsright the clutch also applied and gears will be decreased. So with the use of the joystick we havereduced the major effort for physically challenged people
