In the following paper, the present state of the art technologies in increasing the power output of a vehicle is described. As during the initial stage of automobile industry progression, the scope of integrating the power devices to a vehicle is restricted up to a limited ground but now at present, numerous of devices and equipment are devised to enhance this criterion. Their main motive is to increase the power output performance of IC engines, so, as a result, most of the vehicles at present are employed with ‘Turbochargers and Superchargers’. The vehicle engine is designed in such a way that the burning of a rich air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber leads to generate a high-efficiency power output, so, in this process, the main job of power devices (Turbochargers and Superchargers) is to increase the amount of air inlet in the cylinders. Turbochargers consist of a compressor and a turbine, which rotates by the circulation of exhaust, gases whereas superchargers’ working is feasible with the help of belt drive whose one end is connected to the crankshaft. The best part of assembling a power device to a vehicle is that there is no need to change the current configuration of vehicle engine; moreover, they are available with different sizes and capacities, so, accurate assembling of power devices to any vehicle is possible.Cite this ArticleBhanu Prakash Panwar.
