Abstract

Distributed generation (DG) must be positioned and sized at optimal levels for electrical power system networks to operate competently, affordably, and reliably. "Electrical power system networks" must function properly for optimal distributed generation to take place. Ensuring the secure operation of power system networks primarily aims to reduce active power losses and improve the overall voltage profile. The optimal distribution of distributed generation using JAYA, RAO, and optimization algorithms has been compared in this study. This makes use of type-1 distributed generation (DG), and 2.9443 MW and 2.404 MW, respectively, are the optimal losses for the IEEE-9 bus system when using the JAYA programme and the RAO methodology. The overall losses in the IEEE- 14 bus system for JAYA and RAO Algorithm are likewise practically comparable at 3.4783 MW and 3.4775 MW, respectively. The JAYA and RAO algorithms are used to distribute DG in the most likely manner using MATLAB Toolbox and Mat-Power 6.0.
