A Review on Thermal and Structural Analysis of Disc Brakes in Motor Vehicles
Abstract: Braking is a technique that turns kinetic energy in a vehicle into mechanical energy that must be dissipated as heat. The frictional heat created at the disc-pad interface can cause high temperatures during the braking period. Thermal elastic instability (TEI), early wear, brake fluid vaporisation (BFV), and thermally stimulated vibrations can all be caused by frictional heat created on the rotor surface (TEV). In this research, a vehicle's solid type …

Engineering Perspectives: Thermal and Structural Examination of Disc Brakes for Light Vehicles
Abstract: The procedure of braking transforms the kinetic energy of a car into mechanical energy that needs to be released as heat. High temperatures may result from the frictional heat produced at the disc and pad interface during the braking phase. Frictional heat produced on the rotor surface can contribute to an excessive rise in temperature, which can have unfavorable effects including premature wear, brake fluid vaporization (BFV), thermally excited vibrations …

Thermal Instability in a Second-Order Fluid under the Effects of Suction-Injection-Combination and Maxwell-Cattaneo Law
Abstract: AbstractThe onset of Rayleigh-Bénard convection in a Second-Order fluid under the effects of Suction-Injection-Combination and Maxwell-Cattaneo Law is studied. The classical Fourier law is replaced with the Non-Classical Maxwell-Cattaneo heat flux law in the energy equation. A linear stability analysis is performed to obtain the eigenvalues for free-free isothermal boundary conditions. The influence of the parameters like Cattaneo number, Prandtl number, and Visco-elastic parameter has been analysed and found that …
