Content-based Image Retrieval using SURF Feature Point Descriptor and Local Binary Pattern with Color Histogram
Abstract: An important research issue in multimedia technology is the retrieval of similar objects. Most of the content-based image retrieval (CBIR) uses the low-level features such as color, shape and texture to extract the features from the images. A short time ago, the interest points are used to extract the most relevant images with different view point and transformations. Speed up Robust Feature (SURF) is robust and fast interest points detector/descriptor …

A Review of Video Shot Boundary Detection (SBD) technique
Abstract: The first step in effective video management system which provides the facility of content based video search, analysis and retrieval system is Video Shot Boundary Detection (SBD). A shot is a sequence of frames obtained from a single camera without interrupting it. A video contains a lot of shots that are accompanied with transitions from one shot to another. When shot transition occurs over a few number of frames, it …

Implementing Feature Extraction on Number Plates and Facial Features
Abstract: In this paper, we suggest a feature point extractor naming SURF Speeded Up Robust Features. It is mostly used for 3D images reconstruction, object identification & recognition. It performs in detecting adequate feature points in required region of interest thus making it much faster. This is performed on the basis of image convolutions and simplifying these convolutions to the necessary key points. The paper performed experiments on the various image …

Beach Cleaning Vision System
Abstract: Abstract: This paper concentrates on vision system for the purpose of automatic beach cleaning process. A system that detects the objects, edges and features is very important for easier and proper cleaning in all the areas. The vision system uses various techniques with the real time captured image for Object detection to find if any object or waste is present. Edge detection is used to recognize the boundary of the …
