Laminar Propagation of Lean-Premixed Flames in Meso-scale Tubes
Abstract: A meso-scale channel was earlier developed [1] for the propagation of laminar lean premixed flames. This paper, therefore, reports the experimental variations of flame speed with inner meso-scale tube diameters (di), equivalence ratio (φ), and mixture flow rate (Q) with methane and propane fuels using the meso-scale channel developed earlier. Based on the flame front history, flame speed (SL) and propagation speed (Ud) were computed at temperature (T) greater than …

Flame Phenomenology for Premixed Methane and Propane/Air in Developed Meso-scale Channels at Ambient Conditions
Abstract: This paper reports the development of a meso-scale channel for propagation of methane and propane-air mixtures at low Reynolds number. An experiment was conducted in 3, 4 and 5 mm internal quartz tube diameters at premixed conditions of the fuel/air. The tubes were vertically mounted and sometimes preheated uniformly laterally. Uniformly laterally heating gives a zero temperature gradient. Flame phenomenology at different equivalence ratios (φ) of the mixture was discussed. …

Exploring Abrasive Flow Finishing of 3D Printed Mesoscale Passage
Abstract: 3-D printed parts and components have gained wide applicability which continues to increase day by day. However, due to the very nature of 3-D printing process, i.e. layer additions, outer surfaces are subject to poor finishing. Finishing 3-D printed parts is thus a necessity if they are to be used for prototyping or functional purpose. But, finishing remains a challenge, especially if the part contains passages that lie within and …

Characterization of Polyurethane at Multiple Scales for Erosion Mechanisms Under Sand Particle Impact
Abstract: Thin polyurethane layers have been widely used as erosion-resistant coatings on helicopter rotor blades such as UH-60 Black Hawk and Eurocopter SA 315. Published research has mainly focused on empirical studies that relate the mechanical properties such as rebound resilience and hardness of polyurethane to solid particle erosion resistance. However, polyurethane possesses phase mixing at multiple scales and thus sand particle erosion resistance depends also on the microstructure and the …

Studies on Production of Biogas by Co-digestion of Sewage Sludge, Wastepaper and Waste Grown Algae
Abstract: Abundantly produced sewage sludge in wastewater treatment plants and algae grown in wastewater are the potentially important biomass for the production of biogas. Experimental investigations have been conducted to study the feasibility of co-digestion of the organic fraction of municipal sludge, waste paper, and waste grown algae under anaerobic mesophilic (37oC) conditions in lab-scale bioreactors. Quantity and quality of the biogas, volatile solid reduction and start-up period for the reactions …

Laser ablation to secure electronic fabrication
Abstract: This article is study of laser pulse treat of matter to produce nano-materials. Nano-particulated formation of semiconducting metalloids has showed optoelectronic sensibility to scheme eco-friendly production from Si and Ge. Of various techniques of nano-fabrication principles laser ablation has been as such production of stable, otherwise decisive scope has spelt to involve ligand as well. Liquid prohibitive laser ablation has scoped production of nano-in-meso-matter when bulk material has ablated underneath …

A Brief History of Psychoactive Substances Research: A KR-20 Formula-Based Case Study on the Chaotic Pyramid of Iraqi Scholars
Abstract: Following the American invasion in 2003, Iraq changed radically in terms of politics, religious beliefs, ethnographic and populational topography. Post-Saddam, Iraq witnessed unprecedented levels of organized crime, terrorism, and the widespread pragmatic persecution and assassination of Iraqi scientists and academic scholars, in addition to the illegal commerce of addictive and psychoactive substances. Iraq became an abductee of the worst scenario in the unstable Middle East where we observed military conflicts, …

An Analysis of Multimodal Fusion in Deepfake Detection for Video Samples
Abstract: In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, deepfake technology stands as both a marvel and a threat to privacy and security. Deepfakes, hyper-realistic synthetic media created using artificial intelligence (AI), can deceive and manipulate on an unprecedented scale, from political propaganda to compromising videos of public figures. This research navigates deepfake detection, focusing on two advanced methodologies: the vision transformers (ViT) image classifier and the Meso4 method. The ViT model utilizes …

Study of a Western Disturbance of 2023 Using Satellite-Based Observation, Reanalysis Data, and Numerical Simulation
Abstract: Western Disturbances (WDs) are synoptic-scale, extratropical storm systems that influence winter precipitation across northwest India. This study focuses on a specific WD event that occurred from 24– 25 March 2023, affecting Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. The analysis integrates satellite observations, ERA-5 reanalysis data, and simulations from the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model to evaluate the model's performance. The novelty of this study lies in its …
