A Duplex PCR for Simultaneous Detection of Brucella and Bovine Herpesvirus – Genome in Clinical Samples
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A disease-free germplasm is a prerequisite for getting healthy progeny. Many diseases are transmitted through semen either by natural service or artificial insemination causing reproduction failure and economic losses. The intermittent excretion of Bovine Herpesvirus-1 (BoHV-1) and Brucella in semen and their transmission through artificial insemination has been recorded. PCR has become an invaluable tool because of speed and simplicity with …

Multiplex PCR Assay for Rapid Detection of Different Strains of Escherichia coli Associated with Fish and Fishery Products
Abstract: A multiplex PCR (MPCR) assay was developed for the detection of Escherichia coli using selected primers designated on the species- and strains-specific genes such as hlyA, LT1 and phoA. The internal regions amplified were having a product size of 165, 275, and 903 bp, respectively. This MPCR assay had a sensitivity of detecting four cells of E. coli within 10 h in artificially contaminated shrimp tissue homogenate. The MPCR assay …

The Detection of Virulence Associated Genes of E. coli O157:H7 by Multiplex PCR
Abstract: An easy and quick system is desirable to detect toxin-producing strains in view of the importance E. coli serotype O157:H7 in human diseases. We report standardization of a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (mPCR) test for simultaneous identification of four significant genes related with the life form E. coli O157:H7 viz, stx 1, stx 2, eae A, hly. An alongside an internal amplification control (IAC). The mPCR technique created in the …
