Effectiveness of Deep Breathing Exercise on Respiratory Parameters Among Post Extubated Patients Admitted in ICUs
Abstract: Introduction: Deep breathing exercises may be used to restore lung oxygenation ventilation function and are anticipated to enhance respiratory parameters. Aim: This study was done to examine the effectiveness of deep breathing exercise on respiratory parameters among post extubated patients. Methodology: A quasi experimental (pre-test, post-test control group) with quantitative approach study was conducted to assess the effect of deep breathing exercise on respiratory parameters among 30 post extubated patients …

Needle Choice in Spinal Anaesthesia: Is the 25-Gauge Whitacre Superior to the Quincke in Reducing Post-Dural Puncture Headache
Abstract: The process known as endotracheal intubation involves inserting a synthetic tube into the trachea and inflating the former's cuff to create an airtight seal. Of all the specialised masks in the LMA family, the PLMA is the most intricate. The cuff, the airway tube, the drain (gastric access) tube, and the inflation line with pilot balloon are its four primary components. This drain tube aids in identifying mask malposition and …

A study to assess the effect of nature-based sound therapy during weaning among Mechanically Ventilated patients admitted in intensive care units of a selected tertiary care hospital Ludhiana, Punjab
Abstract: Weaning is a gradual transition from full invasive ventilatory support to spontaneous ventilation with minimal support. This conducted to assess the effect of nature-based sound therapy among Mechanically Ventilated Patients admitted in Intensive Care units. An experimental design (randomized controlled trial) was used to assess the effect of nature-based sound therapy during weaning among Mechanically Ventilated patients.30 patients were drawn from the target population by using convenience sampling technique and …

Comparison of Recovery Profile for Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) Using Propofol And Remifentanil in Laparoscopic Surgeries
Abstract: Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) has become an increasingly preferred technique in modern anaesthetic practice due to advantages such as reduced postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), improved hemodynamic stability, minimal environmental impact, and faster recovery compared to conventional inhalational anesthesia. Propofol in combination with remifentanil is widely used for TIVA because of its rapid onset and offset of action, which supports quick postoperative awakening and enhanced patient satisfaction. Target Controlled Infusion …
