A Review on Chiral Metamaterials and its Applications in Antennas
Abstract: AbstractThis paper presents a review of the chiral metamaterials (CMM) and their different specific properties like circular dichroism, negative refractive index, and giant optical activity. The physical properties of metàmaterials circular dichroism and the method of retrieval of effective parameters of the CMM are discussed in detail. The various classes of the chiral metamaterial and their results of the simulation are presented. The study shows that the chiral metamaterials have …

Nanoelectronics Based on Carbon Nanotubes
Abstract: Nanoelectronics, the study and application of electronic components and systems at the nanometer scale, plays a pivotal role in advancing modern technology toward faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient devices. Among the various nanomaterials explored for these applications, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have emerged as one of the most promising candidates due to their exceptional electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability. This project report presents an in-depth exploration of the role …

The Role of Symmetry in Topological Insulators and Superconductors
Abstract: Topological insulators and superconductors constitute a class of quantum materials characterized by insulating bulks and symmetry-protected conducting boundaries. Symmetry principles, notably time-reversal (TRS), particle-hole (PHS), and chiral symmetry, play a fundamental role in determining the topological phases and their classification within the Altland-Zirnbauer scheme. TRS protects gapless surface states in topological insulators, while PHS stabilizes Majorana modes in topological superconductors. Symmetry-protected topology extends this framework by considering partial symmetry breaking, …

The Principles and Applications of Structural Symmetry in Natural and Engineered Systems: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Structural symmetry is a fundamental constraint across scientific domains, dictating the stability, functionality, and efficiency of systems from the subatomic to the macroscopic. In physics and chemistry, symmetry is mathematically defined through Group Theory, specifically point groups (e.g., Cnv, Oh). These groups govern molecular orbital interactions; high-symmetry configurations, such as the icosahedral C60 fullerene, achieve optimal energy distribution and structural resilience. In Structural Biology, symmetry is an evolutionary strategy for …
