A Cost-Effective Approach to IoT Weather Monitoring: Design and Development
Abstract: In this study, an inexpensive Internet of Things (IoT) system that allows tracking and recording meteorological data, such as moisture, temperature, pressure of the air, and particulates of dust in a residential neighbourhoodneighborhood, is designed and implemented using open-source technology. A Node MCU board, sensors (such as those for temperature, humidity, rainfall, pressure, etc.), and a Blynk software that offers a graphical user interface for visualizing and analyzing the data …

An Integrated Autonomous Rover-Drone System for Intelligent Exploration and Environmental Monitoring
Abstract: This paper presents a hybrid autonomous exploration platform integrating a ground rover and aerial drone, enhanced by swarm intelligence and a custom-trained YOLO V8 object detection model. The rover is equipped with GPS, IMU, and environmental sensors (DHT11, MQ135, BMP180), while the drone performs real-time aerial mapping and obstacle prediction. A YOLO V8 model, trained on 500 annotated terrain images (six classes: rocks, pits, trees, water, animals, vegetation), achieves a …

NodeMCU in IoT-Based Weather forecasting and surveillance: A Review of Applications and Future
Abstract: A weather monitoring gadget uses various sensors to gather meteorological and environmental data. Two categories of weather monitoring exist. One which has inbuilt sensors, and the second type ofweather monitoring is where the data is extracted from the weather station servers. Because the weathervaries daily based on external factors, it is imperative to monitor the surrounding conditions. Thephysical and mental well-being of humans is greatly influenced by the weather. Thus, the …
