Abstract: The comparative advantages of raising sheep over goats have significant implications for productive, social, cultural, and economic perspectives in livestock farming systems. Sheep farming offers unique benefits, including superior wool production, higher carcass yields, and greater adaptability to diverse climates and grazing systems. Sheep are more efficient in utilizing low-quality forages, exhibit better reproductive performance with higher lambing percentages, and demonstrate reduced susceptibility to diseases, resulting in lower veterinary costs. …
