Improved Unified Power Quality Conditioner Design and Numerical Simulation for Power Quality Improvement
Abstract: Harmonic currents can distort the waveform voltage, resulting in a weak signal. There is also an increase in the number of loads requiring enough sinus tension to function properly. As electronic devices become more power-sensitive, people are becoming increasingly interested in power conditioning solutions. Therefore, if the amount of electricity being generated falls below a certain threshold, some type of compensation must be provided. Unified Power Quality Controller (UPQC) is …

TZSBLC With Optimized PI Controller Design for Grid Tied PV Based Electric Vehicle
Abstract: Around the world, about 18% pre-mature births and 3.7 million losses of lives occur due to air pollution and 29% of it is contributed by the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) based vehicles, which consumes fossil fuels for its functioning. Moreover, the increased demand for fossil fuels, as well as the growth in concerns regarding the environmentally friendly and zero-emission transportation, lead to the introduction of electric Vehicles (EVs). The increased …

Harmonic Elimination in Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Using Various Multilevel Inverter Topologies
Abstract: The increasing penetration of photovoltaic (PV) systems into modern power grids necessitates advanced power electronic interfaces capable of delivering high-quality electrical power with minimal harmonic distortion. Multilevel inverters (MLIs) have emerged as an effective solution due to their ability to synthesize near-sinusoidal output voltages with reduced switching losses and electromagnetic interference. This study presents a comprehensive investigation of harmonic elimination in grid-connected PV systems using 5-level, 7-level, and 11-level multilevel …

MATLAB Simulation of Partial Power Converter with Dual- Mode Inverter for Solar Conversion
Abstract: The growing insertion of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in the modern power systems requires high-efficiency, compact and reliable power conversion solutions. The traditional PV conversion system generally uses full-power processed DC-DC converters followed by inverters, which increases conduction and switching power losses, especially at higher power ratings. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a partial power processed resonant converter with a dual-mode transformer-less inverter for efficient solar PV power …
