Automatic Electrical Stamping and Sorting Machine Using PLC
Abstract: Sorting and stamping are final steps in the product manufacturing process that are necessary to brand the final product. Various product types are categorized based on a variety of criteria, and after that, the product is stamped. Here, we show an entire system that combines sorting and stamping of the object as it passes along a conveyor. The process of using air pressure to stamp a logo onto objects is …

Springback of High Strength Steel Sheet and Preventive Measures
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to improve the accuracy output of cold stamping product by accommodating springback. This is an experimental study to improve the accuracy of springback analysis and die compensation process during CAE of part. The springback shape and the target part are used to optimize the die surfaces compensating springback. This paper describes the springback behavior of HSS steel based on phenomenon and preventive measures based …

Utilizing Chemical Machining Methods in the Metalworking Sector
Abstract: Chemical machining is a kind of material removal technique used to produce desired shapes and dimensions by selectively or completely removing material through carefully regulated chemical attack using etchant solutions, which are solutions of acids or alkalis. One type of chemical machining is chemical milling, also known as contour machining, etching, or chemiluminescence. The aerospace industry uses chemical milling to remove thin layers of material from extruded parts for aircraft …

A Study on Feature Subset Selection in Feature Streams of Dynamic Data
Abstract: As the use of real-time data with high dimensions continues to expand across various domains, selecting important features from the dataset is a key step to improve the predictive accuracy and time taken to build a machine learning model. In datasets where not all features are available at the same time and we are unaware of the total number of features, and features arrive at different time stamps, for example, …

Effect of Geometry, Material and Blank Holder Force on Formability of BIW parts
Abstract: The major constituent of any car body consists of about 400 sheet metal stamped parts. Geometry and material of these parts is not uniform. In order to design these parts for any car, it is essential to know how these parts are manufactured. During our study of the manufacturing processes of these parts, we found that the part designs are repeatedly sent back to the body design team for change …

Efficient Transmission Pricing using Power Flow Tracing
Abstract: The evolution of transmission pricing philosophies in deregulated power markets has introduced various techniques for efficient and accurate cost estimation of power exchanges. Earlier methods of postage stamp cost estimation failed to provide accurate cost signals. Point of Connection (POC) method is a technique through which a considerable sunk cost can be recovered but is still inefficient if applied alone. In addition to this, the POC method along with the …

Experimental Studies on the Surface-Driven Capillary Flow of Dyed Water in Multistage Microfluidic Bends
Abstract: AbstractA single three-stage and a pair of two-stage microfluidic bends are fabricated. SU-8 as negative photoresist is used to fabricate the stamp by maskless lithography and diamond like carbon (DLC) coating. Microchannel structures are fabricated using polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) by hot embossing lithography. Direct bonding technique is used to fabricate the leakage-free sealing in microfluidic bends. The leakage-free surface-driven capillary flow is recorded by CMOS camera. This work will be useful …

Transmission Charge Calculation of Power System
Abstract: In traditional power system, industry vertically integrated system (VIS) exists. But nowadays the vertical utility is being converted into horizontal integrated utility. This is the deregulation of power system. This system is divided into three parts: Transmission, generation and distribution. The revenue of the generation comes from the selling the power to the transmission and distribution. Similarly, the revenue of DISCO comes from commercial, industrials and domestic consumers. But in …
