An Efficient Method of Fault Analysis using Artificial Neural Network
Abstract: In the power system, there are many techniques to identify and classify the faults. So, it is utmost important to choose the suitable technique. In this paper, a novel technique based on ANN have been proposed. When abnormal conditions occur in the system, the purposed method identifies and classify the fault to protect the system from the faults and stop from the big hazards. Simulation of purposed Simulink model have …

Using Fuzzy Control System Develop Boost DC-to-DC Converter
Abstract: The main motive of this study is to use MATLAB Simulation to design a FLC (fuzzy logical controller) for a boost DC-DC converter. By creating an FLC algorithm, the FLC was integrated into the system. This implies that the controller bases its control decisions on the concepts of fuzzy logic. The inductor has undergone extensive design and calculation work to guarantee that the transformer runs in mode of continuous conduction. …

PI and Fuzzy Logic Controller Based Analysis of Load Frequency Control for Thermal-nuclear Hybrid Energy Systems
Abstract: In this paper a two-area system: area-1, which has a thermal power plant, and area-2, which contains a nuclear power plant. By combining these domains, two area thermal-nuclear systems are developed in the MATLAB Simulink framework. To ensure the quality of power generated and to feed the load, generation should be raised in tandem with the growth in load demand, or the network should be connected. Using various controllers, LFC …

Comparison Between Reed–Solomon and BCH Code with Various Modulation Schemes Over Coding Gain and Coding Rate
Abstract: The main objective of this research paper is to make a comparison between the performance of Reed-Solomon (RS) and Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem (BCH) codes across different modulation schemes concerning coding gain and coding rate within an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel system, while maintaining a constant transmission bandwidth. In this paper bit error rate (BER) versus signal/noise (S/N) performance of a Simulink model is validated with MATLAB results for a RS …

Cell Balancing in Lithium-ion Batteries – A Comparative Evaluation
Abstract: Balancing the cells within a battery system is essential for safeguarding against overvoltage, overcharge, and over-discharge, which can lead to system failures and safety hazards. Two commonly employed methods for cell balancing are passive and active balancing. In passive balancing, excess charge is dissipated through resistors, while active balancing involves the controlled flow of charge within the circuit. This paper focuses on the comparison and analysis of passive and two …

Strengthening Low Voltage Ride-Through in Wind Energy Systems: A Comparative Study of DVR and STATCOM
Abstract: This study looks at the various methods used to improve the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capabilities of wind turbine systems (WT) that are based on double-fed induction generators (DFIG). The Type-III WT machine, which is mostly based on DFIG, is instantly connected to the grid without the digital power interface, making the terminal voltage or reactive electricity output unmanageable. This is because the world utilizes between 20% and 25% of renewable …
