Abstract: This review work provides a comprehensive overview of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies, their status, and future directions. It examines various capture methods, including pre-combustion, post-combustion, oxyfuel combustion, and direct air capture, as well as emerging and hybrid technologies such as metal-organic frameworks, ionic liquids, and microencapsulation.
