Automated Plant Disease Detection and Treatment Advisor Using Artificial Intelligence
Abstract: Automated plant disease detection and treatment advisors using artificial intelligence represent a significant advancement in modern agriculture. The identification of plant leaf diseases is essential to maintaining food security and agricultural output. Machine learning models, particularly deep learning algorithms like convolutional neural networks (CNNs), are trained on labeled datasets containing images of healthy and diseased plants. These models learn to classify images into different disease categories with high accuracy. Convolutional …

Automated Crop Disease Detection Using Convolutional Neural Networks
Abstract: Crop diseases contribute to major losses in agricultural production worldwide generating enormous economic costs. This study investigates the possibility of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) imaging techniques to auto-detect diseases associated with plants through image processing. A model was developed and trained on a publicly available plant disease dataset containing labeled images of several diseases. The CNN could classify various plant diseases with accuracy of 95%, precision of 92%, and recall …

Evaluation of New Fungicides for the Management of Mango Anthracnose Disease Caused by Colletotrichum Gloeosporioides
Abstract: A field experiment was conducted at the field of Plant Pathology Division, Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Jamalpur-2000, Bangladesh during February to July 2024 to assessment the efficacy/effectiveness of thirty-five (35) new fungicides received from Pesticide Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC), Bangladesh with control treatment against anthracnose disease of mango. Most of the fungicides under inspection were able to control the disease successfully. This study suggests …

Plant Bioactive Metabolites and Their Role in the Prevention and Control of Dental Diseases and Infections.
Abstract: The oral diseases, including dental caries and periodontitis, affect masses worldwide, and have historically been managed with synthetic antimicrobials that cause deleterious side effects, leading to mounting bacterial resistance. Consequently, contemporary dentistry is rapidly shifting toward phytomedicine using plant bioactive molecules, such as polyphenols, terpenes, anthraquinones (berberin, eugenol, curcumin, catechins, allicin, and azadirachtin. These compounds offer potent antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative properties that are crucial for preventing and curing dental …

Therapeutic Potential of Plant-Derived Phytochemicals in Targeting Receptor Pathways Related to Non-Enzymatic Glycation: A Meta-Analysis
Abstract: Background: Non-enzymatic glycation, where reducing sugars react with proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, contributes to various pathological conditions, such as diabetic complications and cardiovascular diseases. This process is facilitated by the receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE), which is pivotal in driving inflammation and causing tissue damage. Objective: This meta-analysis evaluates the effects of plant-derived phytochemicals on RAGE expression and associated signaling pathways, assessing their therapeutic potential in glycation-related diseases. …

The Therapeutic Potential of Nutraceutical in Diabetes Management: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Diabetes is a long-term and complex condition characterized by high blood sugar levels resulting from inadequate insulin production, ineffective insulin function, or a combination of both. Various nutraceuticals used in clinical settings have shown beneficial impacts on a range of biochemical and clinical markers related to diabetes. In many traditional medical systems, hypoglycemic agents derived from plants are used to treat, manage, and prevent diabetes mellitus. These plant extracts have …
