Abstract: Psoriasis is non-contagious, chronic autoimmune disease which causes inflammation and hyper-proliferation of the skin. It is characterized by erythematous plaques that are clearly defined and associated with severe itching and silvery scaling, especially on extensor surfaces, scalp and nails.
