Enhancing Pattern Recognition in Social Networking Dataset using Data Mining Techniques
Abstract: Databases today can range in size more than terabytes. Within these masses of data lies hidden information of strategic importance. But when there are so many trees, how do we draw meaningful conclusions about the forest? The newest answer is data mining, which is being used both to increase revenues and to reduce costs. Data mining is a process that uses a variety of data analysis tools to discover patterns …

An Experimental Approach of Machine Learning Algorithms to Detect Botnet DDoS Attacks
Abstract: Botnets are one of the threats in a network to hamper the quality of the network by disrupting theresources of the network. These Botnets can be controlled remotely by Botmaster. The Machine Learning Algorithms play a major role to detect and control the Botnets that cause to DDoS attacks, malwares and phishing attacks that are vulnerable to network resources. The DDoS attacks are most dangerous malware events that disrupt whole …

Advancements in Intrusion Detection: Tackling Imbalanced Network Traffic with Machine Learning and Deep Learning Techniques
Abstract: Malicious cyberattacks can frequently hide enormous amounts of typical data in unbalanced network traffic. It is very stealthy and obfuscating in cyberspace, which makes it challenging for Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) to guarantee the precision and promptness of detection. This essay investigates. Machine learning and deep learning are utilized for intrusion detection in imbalanced network traffic. It offers a novel method for addressing the problem of class imbalance termed …

Topic Detection in Tweets using Hashtags
Abstract: Data clustering is a common technique used for topic detection and identification in text. In this paper we propose tokenizing of hashtags as an effective and efficient way of generating bags of words for tweets (text messages on Twitter). The document- term matrix generated using these terms is smaller and more relevant compared to the full text tokenization. Tweets from the 2018 Oscars event tagged with #oscars hashtag were collected …
