Fungicides demonstration to manage wheat yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis) and fusarium head blight (Fusarium graminearum Schwabe) diseases in Semen Ari woreda, Southern Ethiopia
Abstract: The experiment was conducted in Semen Ari district to demonstrate fungicides against wheat strip rust and fusarium head blight (FHB) diseases during 2018 and 2019Rex®Duo and Tilt (propiconazole) fungicides were applied to the variety Danda'a. There were three therapies employed, including no therapy. A single plot design contained all of the treatments. Fungicides showed greater efficiency against both illnesses than the unsprayed plot. In 2018, the percentage severity index for …

Efficacy Evaluation of Trichoderma Harzianum, T. Viride, & T. Asperellum: Eco-Biocontrol Agents Against Dry Rot of Potato in Pakistan
Abstract: Fusarium sambucinum is one of the most aggressive fusarium species initiating potato dry rot disease around the world and causing significant economic losses. To alleviate reliance on synthetic fungicides as their long-term use may lead to fungal resistance, biocontrol assays against threatening fungal diseases hold significant importance as an eco-friendly management approach. Antagonists are gradually becoming hotspots and hold broad applicable prospects. Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride, and T. asperellumwere screened …

Causes and Measures to Control Root Rot Fungus in Mulberry Ecosystem
Abstract: Root rot is a severe plant disease caused by various soil-borne fungi, including Phytophthora sp., Pythium sp., Rhizoctonia sp., Fusarium sp., and Armillaria sp. These pathogens attack plant roots, leading to decay, stunted growth, wilting, yellowing leaves, and plant death. Root rot typically develops in waterlogged soils with poor drainage, as these conditions create an environment favorable for fungal growth. Factors such as warm temperatures, compacted soil, improper watering practices, …

Ocular Films as a Drug Delivery System Against Fungal Infections: Current Insights and Future Directions
Abstract: Fungal infections of the eye, including keratitis, endophthalmitis, and blepharitis, represent a challenging class of ocular diseases due to their potential for vision loss and the limited efficacy of existing treatments. These infections are caused by a range of pathogenic fungi, such as Aspergillus, Candida, and Fusarium species, and often require long-term therapeutic intervention. Conventional topical antifungal therapies, such as eye drops and ointments, suffer from poor ocular bioavailability due …

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens: A Review
Abstract: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens is one of the many Bacillus species which is used as a probiotic, exerting health benefits to the host. B. amyloliquefaciens is a gram-positive, rod shaped bacteria with peritrichous flagella. The species also produces enzymes viz. cellulases, amylases, and proteases, which aid in digestion. The species is principally utilized as a feed additive substance for domestic animals and birds. It is gaining importance as plant growth promoter rhizobacteria …

In-vitro assessment of plant growth promoting traits integrated with antagonistic activity of biosurfactant producing Bacillus species of oil contaminated soil
Abstract: Researchers are in search of microbial tools having plant growth promoting activity integrated to biosurfactant production potential to develop eco-friendly technique for sustainable agricultural. Presented study was undertaken to characterize the plant growth promoting activity of biosurfactant producing Bacillus species isolated from oil contaminated soil. Bacterial strains were identified as Bacillus licheniformis P1 and Bacillus velezensis P2, on the basis of morphological, biochemical and 16SrDNA gene sequence homology. Biosurfactant producing …
