Modelling and Control of Grid-Connected PV–Battery Hybrid System Using Dynamic Voltage Restorer for Enhanced Power Quality
Abstract: The integration of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems into modern power grids introduces significant challenges in maintaining power quality, including voltage sags, swells, and harmonics. To address these issues, this study presents a comprehensive modelling and control framework for a grid-connected PV–Battery hybrid system equipped with a Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR). The PV array is modelled using detailed mathematical equations, while the DC–DC converter incorporates advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) …

Improved Unified Power Quality Conditioner Design and Numerical Simulation for Power Quality Improvement
Abstract: Harmonic currents can distort the waveform voltage, resulting in a weak signal. There is also an increase in the number of loads requiring enough sinus tension to function properly. As electronic devices become more power-sensitive, people are becoming increasingly interested in power conditioning solutions. Therefore, if the amount of electricity being generated falls below a certain threshold, some type of compensation must be provided. Unified Power Quality Controller (UPQC) is …

Strengthening Low Voltage Ride-Through in Wind Energy Systems: A Comparative Study of DVR and STATCOM
Abstract: This study looks at the various methods used to improve the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capabilities of wind turbine systems (WT) that are based on double-fed induction generators (DFIG). The Type-III WT machine, which is mostly based on DFIG, is instantly connected to the grid without the digital power interface, making the terminal voltage or reactive electricity output unmanageable. This is because the world utilizes between 20% and 25% of renewable …
