Vibration Monitoring of Diesel Engine Using Bioethanol from Water Hyacinth as Fuel
Abstract: For the current study, water hyacinth plants (Eichhornia crassipes) are used as raw materials for fermentation with native yeast isolated from the water hyacinth plants. Acid hydrolysis followed by fermentation with the yeasts resulted in the yield of bioethanol. Bioethanol is mixed with diesel fuel in different ratios and used in IC engines. Vibrations have direct effects on engine components therefore; analysis of vibration resulting from combustion in IC engines …

Experimentation design of various edible and non-edible oils-based biodiesel using response surface methodology
Abstract: The current research presents the experimentation design for three input process parameters for the optimization of biodiesel production. The response surface methodology using CCRD is applied through design expert 6.0.8 tool. The small factorial is applied to reduce the experiments to some extent. It has been observed that response surface methodology is the effective technique to design the experiments as compared to other statistical techniques. Furthermore this tool has been …

Problem formulation for predicting optimum trans-esterification process parameters of biodiesel production and their performance analysis in diesel engine
Abstract: The various alternate fuels have been used in the past research to run the compression ignition engines. One of the fuel is the biodiesel which is used in the blended form with diesel. The emission parameters are reduced to 30-40% and the performance parameters are increased to some extent. This paper represents the various past research related to biodiesel based engines. The various steps in predicting the optimum process parameters …
