A Review on an Investigation on the Effect of Immersed Medium in Friction Stir Welding of Aluminium Alloys (AA 6061-T6)
Abstract: Friction stir welding is solid state welding technology used for welding of low melting point metals such as Al, Mg and its alloys. FSW process can be controlled by different parameters like rotational speed, feed rate and welding medium. In this process, a cylindrical non-consumable tool, with a profiled probe (pin) rotating about its own axis is slowly plunged into the abutting edges of work pieces rigidly clamped to a …

Fatigue Study of Friction Stir Welded and TIG Welded AA 6061 Alloy Similar Joints
Abstract: In this study, Al-Mg-Si alloy plates in 4 mm thickness that are particularly used for aerospace and automotive industries were welded using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding and Friction Stir Welding (FSW) methods as similar joints with one side pass with parameters of varying tool rotation, weld speed and 2.3 degree tool tilt angle. Tensile tests results showed high yield stress values for FSW joints. Micro Vickers hardness test gave …

Investigate the effect of TIG welding process parameters on weld distortion of AA6061 - A Technical review
Abstract: TIG welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, is a process that uses heat orpressure to join metal pieces. The electrodes and weld pools are covered with inert gas. Toachieve high-quality weld connections, superior alloys such as stainless steel, aluminium, andmagnesium alloys must be employed. The aluminium metal was invented and produced in 1825.This project uses the 6061 aluminium alloy, which is one of nine different varieties of aluminium …

Experimental Investigation of Weld Strength in Pulsed Current TIG Welding of AA 5052 Alloys – A Technical Review
Abstract: TIG welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, is a method in which metal parts are welded together using heat or pressure. Inert gas is used to cover the electrodes and weld pools. Superior alloys such as stainless steel, aluminium, and magnesium alloys must be used to make high-quality weld connections. In 1825, the aluminium metal was conceived and produced. This project is based on the 5052 aluminum alloy …
