Corrosion inhibitors for 7000 aluminum alloys
Abstract: Wrought aluminium-zinc-magnesium copper (AA7000) series alloys have commonly used in aerospace industry and super-jet boats industry due to their high strength-to-weight ratio, toughness and resistance to fatigue. Variation in medium of exposure varies fatigue crack growth rates in these alloys. Stress corrosion crack is resisted by fine precipitates in alloys. Organic corrosion inhibitors are supposed to be mandatory from environmental legislation. Radioactive pitting corrosion has inhibited by conversion coatings.

Corrosion behavior of Friction stir welded aluminum alloys: A review
Abstract: A review on corrosion behavior of Friction Stir Welded aluminum alloys has been presented. Objective of the work is to discuss the behavior of Friction Stir Welded aluminum alloys under chloride environment. The variation of corrosion potential and corrosion rate for the welded portion and base metal and within the welded region for various zones like weld nugget, HAZ and TMAZ has been studied. Alloys of series 2XXX, 5XXX, 6XXX …
